We first visited Four Seasons Orlando way back in 2016, shortly after they opened. We have visited a number of times since then and it seems like each visit gets better and better. It’s a special place where you can enjoy the magic of Disney World while feeling the relaxation of a Four Seasons resort. Here are just a few things we love about FS Orlando:
Four Seasons Orlando
The Pools at Four Seasons Orlando
The best way for me to explain how awesome the pools are at FS Orlando is to tell you that when I surprised my kids with a trip to Disney World, their first question was “will we get to do the lazy river and water slides?!” They asked that before they asked about the rides!
When we go to Disney we like to break mid day when we can for some pool time and always leave one full day for relaxing and enjoying the pool. This is something I highly recommend for a Disney trip. You save money on park tickets/ expenses for that day and you leave not feeling so exhausted. So finding a spot with great pools is key for this.
At FS Orlando there are a number of spots to swim: there’s the Family Pool, Explorer Island, Splash Zone, The Drop and our favorite: the Lazy River. There’s also a super relaxing adult only pool.
The Food at Four Seasons Orlando
One of the reasons I like staying at FS Orlando is the excellent dining options. We usually do one morning of breakfast at Ravello for the character breakfast and then for early morning park departures we do in room dining or grab food from Lickety Split (bagels, pastries, breakfast sandwiches).
Lickety Split is also a huge hit with the kids because of their delicious gelato.
A great lunch can be found poolside or at PB&G and there are lots of options for dinner too. Capa for the views (and food!) and Ravello is you’re looking for Italian. Four Seasons always does a fantastic job with kids options and a major perk of staying there: kids 5 and under eat free.
Goofy and Pals Character Meal
We’ve tried a lot of character meals in Disney World and our favorite is the Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy and Pals at FS Orlando. It’s fun, has our favorite characters and the food is delicious. Your kids get to meet and interact with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. It’s in the resort’s Ravello restaurant which offers indoor and outdoor seating.
The breakfast also includes a photo taken when you enter. You’ll find the photo on your Disney account but while others you are charged for, this one is always free. We love the photos we have gotten over the years at this meal.
The Staff and Disney Desk
The Disney Desk at Four Seasons Orlando is amazing. They are there to help you with everything you could possibly need park related. I think I stopped to ask them a question or two every time I passed the desk! It’s right in the main lobby and a key part in making the trip a success. They have helped me with Genie+ questions, dinning, schedules, where to see characters… the list goes on and on.
In addition to the Disney Desk, the entire staff at FS Orlando is always a delight. They’re welcoming, helpful and go out of their way to make the trip enjoyable for all ages.
Fireworks at FS Orlando
Did you know you can see the Walt Disney World fireworks from FS Orlando? You can enjoy them from Cava restaurant. It’s on the 17th floor of the hotel and perfect for viewing the fireworks. There are also rooms that have a view of the fireworks. There’s nothing quite like getting back from the park, putting on pjs and enjoying the fireworks right before bed.
There’s also a cool new in room offering: Fireworks Glow Party. It’s call the “Glowing Fireworks Celebration” and includes Disney-inspired cupcakes, macarons, chocolate strawberries and mini tarts, and comes with fun accessories including flashing party shades and balloons. Champagne and sparkling wine are also included.
Fun and Games at Four Seasons Orlando: The Kids Club, The Mansion & The Hideout
The fun and games are endless at FS Orlando. The Kids Club is awesome. Whether you need a spot to let the kids play for a bit (with you) or you want to drop them off for a while. We have done both. It’s a really neat space and they always have cute activities throughout the day. There’s a great playground right outside as well. It’s the perfect size and fenced in.
Outside of the kids club is The Mansion area where there are tons of outdoor games. On this trip (kids ages 7 & 10) this was their favorite spot. We played a lot of ping pong!
There’s also The Hideout which is a cool spot with video games. This is a good evening spot and if there’s a rainy afternoon!
Perfect Spot for Multi Generational Travel
We have been to Four Seasons Orlando a few times but perhaps the most memorable was when we went with my parents. It was the perfect spot for a multi generational trip to Disney World. Bringing grandparents to Disney is a joy for them but also some “work”… helping with the kids in the parks and walking miles a day. So combining park fun with relaxing at FS Orlando was really awesome. All 3 generations gave that trip a thumbs up!
Great Deal at FS Orlando for Late Spring & Early Summer
The Fourth Night Free package is back at Four Seasons Orlando this year. From May 1-Sept. 30 you can book three nights and get a fourth night free.
We always leave Four Seasons Orlando feeling like we really enjoyed the magic of a Disney trip. Whether we are there as a family or for one of our special birthday trips (like this one!). The memories we make at this resort will last a lifetime.
