Who’s heading to London this summer and asking the popular question: where to eat in London with kids? In the fall I took one of my daughters to London for her 13th birthday celebration. I had a long list of spots to eat and only a few days to try them. Now that I am prepping for my 3 boys’ first time in London, I’m adding to the list. They are a hungry crew so I am hoping to take them to a few of my old favorites and try some new spots too.
Where to Eat in London with Kids
1. Borough Market – Southwark
Borough Market is a fun and busy place in London where you can try foods from all over the world. Kids can see colorful fruit stands, chocolate treats, and even people cooking right in front of them. From viral stands to the less known, kids of all ages will have fun. This was a hit with my teen
2. Droughts – Waterloo
Draughts Waterloo is a fun, underground playroom full of board games, tucked beneath Waterloo Station in a colorful tunnel covered in graffiti. Kids can explore more than a thousand games, try new ones, all while enjoying great food and drinks (for the parents). Kids under 12 play for free, and teens play at half price—so it’s a perfect place for family fun and games together!
3. Da Mario – Kensington
Da Mario is a cozy, family‑run pizza and pasta restaurant right near Kensington Palace, where Princess Diana used to take her boys for dinner. It has fun decorations like a mural of Diana and the restaurant’s founder on the wall, and her name even written on the steps—all because she loved it so much. Kids feel welcome there, just like in Italy, making it a perfect spot for a royal‑worthy pizza date.
4. The Pig’s Ear – Chelsea
The Pig’s Ear has a cozy pub vibe that makes families feel at home. They have great British dishes for both adults and kids and are known for their friendly staff.
5. The Hayden – Notting Hill
The Hayden is a cozy pub on trendy Westbourne Grove, just a short walk from Portobello Road and the Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Playground. It’s a great spot to visit before or after enjoying the playground. The pub serves up kids’ meals and has a warm, lively vibe.
6. The Parlour at Fortnum and Mason – St. James
Eating at The Parlour inside Fortnum & Mason is such a fun treat for kids. There’s playful décor and delicious desserts. Kids can create their own sundaes by choosing from a variety of flavors, toppings, and sauces, making each visit a fun and personalized experience. The Parlour also offers a selection of dairy-free ice creams, ensuring that all kids can enjoy a sweet treat.
7. Maggie Jones’s – Kensington
Step into a cozy, cottage-like dining room complete with hanging baskets and rustic décor. Maggie Jones’s serves up comforting British fare like roast chicken, shepherd’s pie, and apple crumble. The cozy ambiance makes it feel like dining in a countryside grandma’s kitchen—kids will love the warm vibe. They’re currently doing some renovations but I’m hoping it’s open for our trip this summer!
8. Circolo Popolare – Fitzrovia
Circolo Popolare is an Italian restaurant that offers a very lively atmosphere for families. There are lots of kid friendly pasta options. The amazing decor adds to the fun dining experience.
9. Buns from Home – various locations
This is a must for walking around London with kids. Buns From Home is a cute bakery in London, known for their amazing cinnamon buns and other sweet treats. The buns come in all different flavors and kids love them.
10. The Pear Tree Café – Battersea Park
Right inside one of London’s most beautiful parks, this café offers seasonal food with views over the lake. The menu includes fresh salads, toasties, cakes, and babyccinos. Grab a table outside and let the kids run free after lunch. It’s perfect for a post-zoo or playground treat.
11. La Mia Mamma – Chelsea
A cozy Italian restaurant run by real Italian mammas who rotate every few months, sharing their regional recipes and home-style cooking. The atmosphere is very inviting to families, and children are treated like royalty. Pasta lovers—of all ages—will be in heaven.

13. Chez Antoinette – Covent Garden and Victoria
Chez Antoinette is a cute French bistro in London with 2 locations. We enjoyed brunch here in November and loved it. It’s has a cozy, friendly atmosphere and really good French foods like buttery croissants and sweet pastries. The kids enjoyed eggs and toast.
14. Honey & Co. – Bloomsbury
A sweet and soulful spot for Middle Eastern food that’s flavorful but accessible for younger palates. Their soft pita, creamy hummus, and fragrant chicken dishes are kid-approved, and the warm service makes families feel right at home. Save room for the legendary cakes.
15. Sky Garden – City of London
The Sky Garden is a newer spot in London with amazing views. You can book a free ticket to the Sky Garden but those go pretty fast. Another way to enjoy the garden and views: book a meal there. Darwin Brasserie and Larch are both great picks for families.
No matter where you choose to dine in London, there’s something to delight every young foodie and make mealtime a memorable part of your family adventure. We can’t wait to make some of these a part of the boys first London trip!
