Some of my favorite summer memories as a kid are of our visits to Morey’s Piers. I loved the rides, the games and all the excitement of the boardwalk. After years of summer fun at Morey’s Piers, I remember feeling brave enough to ride a roller coaster for the first time. Years (many many years!) later I got to ride a roller coaster with my daughter on the same boardwalk pier. My family loved visiting when I was a kid and now I love visiting with my kids. What age is best to visit Morey’s Piers?
Honestly, ALL ages! It’s is a spot the whole family can enjoy. In addition to it being a nostalgic place for me to visit, a main reason we love Morey’s Piers is that it’s fun for all ages. Since we are currently traveling with just about all ages, that’s important! Here’s why…
What age is best to visit Morey’s Piers?
Morey’s Piers is fun for the whole family. From the rides, to the water parks to the games and spots to eat. There’s something for everyone in the family.
Babies & Toddlers: My 15 month old had a blast at Morey’s Piers. Maybe it’s because he spent most of his 1st year cooped up inside but he thought all of the excitement on the boardwalk was the best thing he’s ever seen. He spent the entire time clapping for the games, waving at people on the rides and he sure loved trying Curly’s fries. By day 2 he spent a lot of the time sleeping in the stroller (also a good thing!) because he was exhausted.
The little kid area at the Raging Waters Water Park on Morey’s Piers was amazing for a 15 month old. He only recently started walking and could easily toddle around the 2 areas for little kids. Everything is soft, there are safe spots to climb and play and all the splashing water was loads of fun for him. You could spend a whole day at the water park with a little one.
The 3-6 Year Olds: My 5 and 6 year old had so much fun visiting Morey’s Piers. They were so excited at the water park they kept asking “can we stay here forever?!” The giant pirate ships were mind blowing and they loved that there were some “big slides” off the ship that they could do on their own.
They also loved all of the rides for their age. They enjoyed that there were some they could ride solo and some they could join their big sisters on.
The 7-9 Year Olds: This group of boardwalk guests are not quite little kids and not quite big kids but there are tons of fun options for this age group: there are lots of rides for them to enjoy (more than most amusement parks in my opinion), there are games, an arcade and also so many awesome water park slides and activities.
The Tweens & Teens: Roller coasters! There are tons of awesome rides but my older, thrill seeking tween thinks the roller coasters at Morey’s Piers are so much fun. Speaking of thrill seeking tweens & teens… the water parks also have tons of great slides for the older kids.
Adults: Over the last few years, Morey’s Piers has added more restaurants, outdoor seating areas, bars, live entertainment, etc. So instead of the kids begging the parents to go to the boardwalk… the parent’s might be heading there on their own sometimes too!
One night while we were visiting, we wanted my brother and sister in law to meet up with us, I felt there were a bunch of cool spots to have them meet us that adults would enjoy.
We ended up deciding on Pigdog Beach which is a perfect example of how Morey’s Piers appeals to all ages. The 4 adults enjoyed the delicious food, great drinks and live music. The kids enjoyed being able to play on the beach during dinner, the endless games (life size checkers, cornhole, ladder golf and more).
Over the last several years, Morey’s Piers has really been striving to create a place the whole family can enjoy. They’ve done a great job. In addition to making sure it’s fun for all ages, it’s clean, the staff is friendly and they’ve created an overall awesome vibe. So no matter who you’re traveling with this summer, they’re sure to have fun at Morey’s Piers.
